For more than 50 years, the San Diego Rescue Mission has spread the good news of salvation through Christ with several programs serving the homeless and needy including transitional housing, a preschool, an overnight emergency shelter and a drug/alcohol rehabilitation center. Their services and discipleship lead to positive, lasting change.
We lovingly address the needs of men, women and children experiencing homelessness through a holistic, Christ-centered approach to recovery and rehabilitation. Our Mission Academy is a year-long residential program focusing on spiritual/physical/emotional wellness, job training and education, employment and housing. We also offer an emergency shelter for women and children and a licensed Christian preschool. By God’s grace, we are expanding our services to develop a coordinated system for getting more people off the streets permanently. Two new shelters in Oceanside and National City and outreach programs like Walk With Me and a Mobile Shower Ministry fuel this system that provides a continuum of Christ-like hospitality from the streets to stability. Because we lead with Jesus, we accept zero government funding, which is why your financial support is so appreciated.
