Homeless Veterans Initiative

For more than 9 years, The Village Church, in partnership with Interfaith Community Services (ICS), has helped homeless veterans move into a place of their own. Our funds and donations helped provide all the furniture and supplies for a typical household as well as delivery and set-up at these new homes. This program has helped hundreds of veterans to find permanent housing and furnishing them to make a home!

This year, the funds from the Homeless Veterans Initiative will be directed to the Interfaith Veterans Transitional Housing Program to provide new refrigerators to the 14 apartments that house the veterans participating in the program. Each apartment supports four veterans at a time as they work with case managers to transition into permanent housing. (All funds raised beyond what is needed to purchase 14 refrigerators will be used for the greatest needs of the Homeless Veterans program.)
