Michelle Moomaw Le Beau is the Sr. VP of Development and Community Engagement at the San Diego Rescue Mission (best job she's ever had). Prior to joining the Mission in 2019, Michelle served for 12 years as the Director of Community Life for La Jolla Community Church. Her passion for "loving thy neighbor" began at an early age. Michelle grew up in Los Angeles, where her father pastored a large Presbyterian Church. Michelle and her husband, Jim, have been married for 34 years. Their sons, Jimmy and Jake, are both full-time San Diego City Lifeguards.
Michelle will speak on the topic, "Shining A Light on the Overlooked." She'll share how this relates to the women served at the Rescue Mission (women who have felt overlooked and invisible their entire lives) and also about the need we have in our own lives to shine light on the overlooked things we've kept hidden. From John 4 – the story of The Woman at the Well – she will suggest practical ways to be both bold and brave in shining light into tough places.
