Dear Parents,
I’m pretty excited about everything we have going on this summer. We’ve added some new things and have created what you will hopefully find to be a fun experience for your student(s), as well as a challenging and educating experience for your student(s). This summer our focus is on defining “Love” from a biblical perspective in order to weed out the influences that the “love” popularized in today’s, which is often self seeking, lustful, damaging, and ultimately unfulfilling. I hope that you will encourage your student(s) to participate in as much of the program as possible. To make things easy for you, we’ve posted all of our necessary forms for each event on our website. Each activity, included summer camp and our Dominican Mission Trip is described in detail. For many years now the Village Youth Group has been serving the people of downtown San Diego by working with Ladle Fellowship to provide a hot lunch on Sunday Afternoons. After the second service of the morning we load up into the church vans and head to In n Out for lunch. After lunch we head to 1st Presbyterian in downtown San Diego (320 Date Street San Diego, CA 92101-2698. 619-232-7513). We typically finish around 4:30pm which would put us back at the church by 5pm; however, much of that depends on the students being focused during cleanup. Please be gracious if we run a bit late.

Drop off: Youth Room @ 11:00 a.m.
Pick up: Youth Room @ 5:00 p.m. *Bring money for Lunch

Every Tuesday night we head over to Cottonwood Park in Encinitas (on the corner of Encinitas Blvd. and Vulcan Ave.) where we assist “FILL A BELLY” in providing a hot dinner for anyone who needs it. Parents, you are welcome to join us.

This is our High School Mid Week. We meet every Wednesday night in the Youth Room. We provide dinner (hence “…Burritos”). The evening starts with food, and then we have a time of worship and prayer followed by a bible study and group discussion. This is where we will really be focusing and diving deep into biblical scriptures relating to the loving nature of God. After that it’s floor hockey or dodge ball time.
